CoolBand Welding Helmet Cooling System Review

It's about time somebody came out with a product like this. It gets pretty hot while welding and I've often wondered about putting a fan in a helmet. I've been using this product with my Elite helmet for 4 weeks now and, in my opinion, Miller did a great job. Here are some thoughts:

Pros:
1) The airflow is directed right on your face, so even though its not a ton of air it still feels good. I tried it with and without the air deflector, but I like it better with the deflector.
2) Because its in the headgear, there is a constant airflow no matter if the hood is up or down.
3) My lens never fogs up anymore!
4) I was initially concerned about the weight, but because the weight is in the back of the head it actually is pretty well balanced against the weight of the helmet in the front.
5) The fan is surprisingly quiet.
6) The filter lasts about 3 days and is easy to change.
7) The battery is easy to remove and charge.
8) The on/off switch is large and easy to press with the helmet on your head.

Cons:
1) I thought I had a bad battery, but it turned out that I just needed to remove the piece of tape over the battery terminal. Miller should probably make that tape easier to see.
2) I work 10 hour shifts, but the battery only lasts 6 hours. So I had to buy a 2nd battery for $25.
3) The fan pulses when the battery gets low, but it is hard to notice.
