I read some less than rave reviews about this sconce but loved the look enough to order anyway for our bonus room. They were installed this week and are modern and beautiful at the same time. We used clear Westinghouse 60W candelabra base bulbs - the kind most chandeliers use - and the light radiates from the top and bottom openings of the sconce casting a beautiful glow of light above and below. I couldn't be happier!
